Have you ever wondered why about 95% of online business failed?

Stick with me to the end of this post  I promise I’ll make a point
My mentor taught me to master the basic by space repetition .. it simply means go deep by repeating the same information over and over again till it become part of us .. exactly like how well we know our own name and home address.
Depending on when you are reading this post …  this is the 3rd  round I am going through the 14 days training program … and it is interesting to see how much information I have missed the first 2 round?
This round, what stood out for me is the Airplane Metaphor that Vick and Jason describe on the journey for every marketing effort and campaign that all online Entrepreneurs will go through .. be it if you are new or experienced.
  1. Know where you are – we can’t plot the route without knowing the point of origin
  2. Know where you are going –  we can’t shot when there is no target, therefore essential to know what we want to achieve specifically
  3. Get on runway and full throttle – when a plane hit the runway it requires to build momentum. For our internet business .. we go full throttle by building the foundation wholeheartedly, without cutting corners with the right process in order to build a “skyscraper” of a business.
  4. Go past “a point of no return” – This is where the plane reaches a point where it either have to take off else it is going to crash. This is where we cannot afford to build our business half heartedly … like what Jedi Master Yoda says ” Do or do not .. there is no try”
  5. Claim altitude, breakthrough clouds and raise above the Turbulence zone – After the plane takes off it has to gain altitude it may run into moments where turbulence will shake the plane quite aggressively.

Some of us who are inexperience or afraid of flying … may be holding on to our heart and wonder if we are going end our life then and there.

Point 5 is where I like us to pay attention … The Turbulence zone is where 95% of businesses crash!
Many factors such as,
  • lack of knowledge
  • not knowing what to expect
  • etc
Business owners start to have a panic attack at that point of their business thinking that this is end of the world and the business is on the road to failure. therefore they gave up pre-maturely and crash!
When a plane hit that turbulence zone while claiming attitude … they just kept going until they breakthrough the clouds
Jason made an interesting comment saying “if you are going through hell, go faster!!  don’t stop!!” – Paraphrase from Winston Churchill
lol :OD
So in business, it is essential that we understand that it is perfectly normal and it is okay because it is part of the process of growing the business to the next level
Once we breakthrough the clouds and gone above the turbulence Zone .. we will have clear sky with the sun shining as we continue to cruise.
In business going too quick too fast, we will not gain momentum and will crash very quickly, and when it is too slow we may not have enough lift to go upwards… therefore like the plane it is important for it to approach and maintain the right angle of ascent.
So some of us who has been in the online space for a while and struggling … take a moment to think about this metaphor and see how it can be applied to our approach of our business.
For the rest who are brand new to this space … at least you are pre-framed and expect this exciting journey to be as described above and it is definitely worth while!
